Thoughtful, Timeless Interiors
Interiors that bring together architecture, light, colour and
the details that make a home deeply personal.
House of Lexden is an interior design studio based in Colchester, Essex, creating considered, personality-filled interiors for homes across East Anglia and beyond.
I believe a home should tell a story, a reflection of who you are and the things you love.
My approach combines classic, timeless design with a modern sensibility, bringing together architecture, light, colour, furnishings and thoughtfully chosen details to create interiors that feel beautiful, welcoming and deeply personal.
Whether you're undertaking a larger renovation or redecoration of a single room, I look at the home as a whole, creating spaces that work beautifully together while still feeling unmistakably yours.

A very personal design studio
House of Lexden is intentionally personal. I work directly with every client and design every project myself, taking the time to understand how you live, what you love and how you want your home to feel.
From there, I bring together architecture, light, colour, furniture, materials and bespoke details to create a home that feels layered and individual, with a little of the unexpected.
How can I help
From focused Design Consultations to Full Interior Design Service, I offer design only services as well as Professional Delivery for clients who would like my support bringing the finished design to life.
The House of Lexden Approach
The most impressive thing for me is that Michaela doesn’t just throw ideas together; everything is selected to ensure a harmonious aesthetic and a flow between the spaces.
